They say it's a new year, but those of us on the mystical path to God know better. Living a Feminine spirituality teaches us that our lives follow a spiral and cyclical route. Nevertheless, the external messaging around us will continue to tell us that we must strive to be a new Us at the beginning of January, and I am easily convinced to set new intentions and revision my future.
The last time you and I connected, I had a different last name. As you might expect, this change in title reflects considerate loss, life change, transitions, endings and beginnings. If any of you went through midlife upheaval, redefining of self, and sifting through the remaining existential rubble for your soul, I see you!
(I think that's the best way to put it succinctly and not make this entire email about me.)
Anyway, my intention here, my mystical friend, is to acknowledge the soft, quiet space that we share on the journey. This space, maybe unfelt and unseen by so many, is the intersection between spirt and matter where we encounter the ineffable mystery of God. And I think it is better felt and absorbed in images and symbols, rather than defined by words and instructions.
I feel like the beauty of the Tarot system is that it encapsulates the human experience and our potential without firmly asserting itself upon us. ( I know you know this.) And I felt drawn to creating this spread for the coming year because it invites us to refocus on the spiral path, not a linear timeline. Please use it, if this resonates, and share your thoughts and insights. May you feel the loving presence of God in all the light and shadows of 2026.
